In this busy world we live in so many people focus on achievements and accomplishing their next goal. Or they are so busy caring for their family, they forget to take care of themselves. It is so important to take the time to slow down and take care of yourself. This is something I often struggle with while working a full time job plus running a business as a health coach. I encourage my clients to take time out for themselves as establishing a habit of self care will improve life-long health.
Self care can come in many forms and most involve slowing down and listening to what your body and soul needs and wants.
For me, self-care can be as simple as sitting by myself out on my deck on a sunny day enjoying the yard and watching my dog run around. Or it can be a planned event such as attending a yoga class or having dinner out with a friend. Many of my friends plan a spa day or some other form of relaxation. For my husband, spending Sundays watching football and nothing else is his form of self-care.

The more we include time for ourselves to recharge, the more energy and focus we will have to accomplish our goals and take care of those in our lives that we are putting energy towards.
Take some time today, even if it is only 5 minutes, for you and relax.
