Broad Brook Woman Fled Scene of Accident: South Windsor Police

The woman was soon detained by Vernon police.

South Windsor police have charged a Broad Brook woman with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident Thursday afternoon.

Police responded to the scene on Dart Hill Road at Ellington Road around 1:45 p.m. and said the operator of one of the vehicles fled toward Vernon.

Vernon police located and detained the vehicle operator, Lynn Bailey, a short time later.

Bailey, 51, of K34 Mill Pond Road, was charged with evading responsibility and failure to obey stop sign. Bailey was later released on a $2,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on June 1.
