Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- Eastern students Allison Lundy and Jenna Mazza have been awarded the Jeffrey and Nancy Trawick-Smith Early Childhood Undergraduate Research Fund. This fund allows for undergraduate students to pursue research opportunities by covering travel expenses and aiding with their research. Lundy and Mazza received the funding due to their exceptional work with children and their research findings. Lundy, of South Windsor, majors in Early Childhood Education and Psychology.

- Kayla Curameng from South Windsor was among 62 Arts and Science students welcomed into Western New England University's chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society on November 1 in Rivers Memorial Hall on the University campus. Founded in 1924, Alpha Lambda Delta is a national honor society for first year students that encourages and recognizes superior academic achievement. Alpha Lambda Delta seeks to promote intelligent living, a continued high standard of learning, and encourages students to recognize and develop meaningful goals for their roles in society. Members pledge to use their education to benefit the community, the college, the nation, and the world. Acceptance is based on attaining a minimum grade point average of 3.50 in their first semester of study or a 3.50 cumulative average at the end of the first year. Curameng is majoring in Neuroscience.
- Zachary Mahan from South Windsor was among 45 Business students welcomed into Western New England University's chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society on November 1 in Rivers Memorial Hall on the University campus. Mahan is majoring in Sport Management.
- The Western New England University chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society welcomed 32 College of Engineering students at the annual induction ceremony, which took place on November 1 in Rivers Memorial Hall on the University campus. College of Engineering students inducted from South Windsor were Nicholas Lopes and Michael Noble; both are majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
