SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — College classes are well underway for the fall semester, but Patch is still receiving notifications of accomplishments by local students from the summer and even this past spring from readMedia Newswire, as well as current notable feats.
American International College, Springfield MA
- Kelsey Daniels, of South Windsor, was inducted into the American International College (AIC) Athletic Director's 3.0 Club. The AIC Athletic Director's 3.0 Club Induction is an annual ceremony, held at the beginning of fall semester, that recognizes those student-athletes who achieve a 3.0 cumulative GPA or better after attending AIC for one year or more.

- Eastern Connecticut State University recently named its resident assistants (RAs) for the fall 2017 semester. RAs are responsible for guiding and aiding students with on-campus residential living. They are carefully selected by staff in the Department of Housing and Residential Life through a process of information sessions and personal interviews. After being hired, they are trained to provide an environment that encourages success and positive student development. Among the RAs selected for the fall 2017 semester are two students from South Windsor: Joshua Delmonte, whose major is Psychology, and Zachary Troiano, whose major is Elementary Education and English.
Western New England University, Springfield MA
- Christopher Urciuoli of South Windsor graduated from Western New England University with a Master of Business Administration on Aug. 15, 2017.
- Jessica Eldredge of South Windsor was welcomed into Western New England University's chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society on August 25, during the University's Convocation ceremony. Eldredge is majoring in Communication - Media Theory & Production. Founded in 1924, Alpha Lambda Delta is a national honor society for first year students that encourages and recognizes superior academic achievement. Alpha Lambda Delta seeks to promote intelligent living, a continued high standard of learning, and encourages students to recognize and develop meaningful goals for their roles in society. Members pledge to use their education to benefit the community, the college, the nation, and the world. Acceptance is based on attaining a minimum grade point average of 3.50 in their first semester of study or a 3.50 cumulative average at the end of the first year.
