Emerson College, Boston MA

• On Sunday, May 14, 2017, a pair of South Windsor residents graduated from Emerson College in Boston. Madison Crichton received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, and Samantha Crichton received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing for Film and TV. During the College's 137th commencement ceremony, approximately 975 bachelor's degrees were conferred during the undergraduate exercises and nearly 270 master's degrees were conferred during the graduate exercises.

Hofstra University, Hempstead NY

• Liana Wilson of South Windsor excelled during the spring 2017 semester, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the Dean's List.

Quinnipiac University, Hamden CT

• Kaitlin Bakas, Ashley Bruneau, Erika Conaci, Joshua Hertel, Kristina Montecalvo, Nicole Pelikan, Dylan Purcell and Eric Serksnas of South Windsor have been named to the dean's list for the spring 2017 semester.

Siena College, Loudonville NY

• Siena College has named Jessica Leary and Michael Stoker of South Windsor to the Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student's grade point average for the semester must be between 3.5 and 3.89.

Springfield Technical Community College, Springfield MA

• South Windsor resident Nicholas Parent has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2017 semester.

Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT

• Tunxis Community College in Farmington has announced Anu Jojo of South Windsor has qualified for the Dean’s List for the spring 2017 semester. Students matriculated in a certificate or degree program who have earned a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher and have successfully completed 12 or more credits, or have earned a cumulative 12 credits over multiple semesters, are eligible for this academic honor.

University of Delaware, Newark DE

• Patrick Savidge, Amy Wilhelm and Jill Wilhelm of South Windsor have been named to the University of Delaware Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

University of Scranton, Scranton PA

• Three South Windsor residents were among more than 1,600 students who were named to The University of Scranton's Dean's List for the 2017 spring semester. The Dean's List recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make the Dean's List. Local students are Emily L. Thompson, a freshman occupational therapy major in the University's Panuska College of Professional Studies; Rebecca A. Russo, a sophomore nursing major in the University's Panuska College of Professional Studies; and Eric S. Hintz, a senior international business major in the University's Kania School of Management.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Madeline K. Dugan, of South Windsor, took part in Western New England University's spring production of Beauty and the Beast to sold-out audiences at Western New England University.
  Based on the 1740 French Fairytale, La Belle et La Bete, Disney's Beauty and the Beast just celebrated its 25th anniversary this past fall.
• Jamie Romanowski has been named to the Dean's List at Western New England University for the spring semester 2017. Romanowski is working toward a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Students are named to the Dean's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.
