SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent accomplishments of college students from South Windsor, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Assumption College, Worcester MA

  • Assumption College has announced that 486 students have been named to the college's prestigious undergraduate Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Assumption students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a five-class, 15-credit semester. The Dean's List is announced twice per academic year, once at the completion of the fall semester, and again at the completion of the spring semester. Honorees from South Windsor are Emily Rizza and Victoria Russo.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

  • In honor of their outstanding academic achievement, Emmanuel College has named more than 700 students to the Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester. South Windsor students on the Dean's List are Jeffrey Allen, Mary Harper, Travis Smith and Joseph Tamburro.

James Madison University, Harrisonburg VA

  • James Madison University is pleased to announce that the following students from South Windsor made the president's list for the fall 2016 semester: Lia Verdi, who is majoring in intelligence analysis and is scheduled to graduate in 2017, and Kristyn Lariviere, who is majoring in interdisciplinary liberal studies and is scheduled to graduate in 2017.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

  • The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that 5,401 students have qualified for the fall 2016 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, other states and more than 16 countries. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average. South Windsor students honored are Jill Elizabeth Asmar, Antonia Mae Balboni, Kyle Bellis, Zachery David Burnham, Madison Taylor Corcoran, Vanessa Marie Freeman, Ryan Richard Gannon, Olivia Rose Jones, Andrew Brian King, Sean Kleczkowski, Kelly Lavoie, Rachel Sarah Levine, Justine Elise Mirek, Elicia Helene Nardini and Bryce Williams.
