Car Windows Smashed, Purses Stolen in South Windsor
Police are investigating two vehicle break-ins that occurred in Nevers Road Park.

South Windsor Police are investigating two vehicle break-ins that occurred in Nevers Road Park earlier this week.
Police were notified of the break-ins at about 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9.
The suspect(s) smashed the side window of two cars and removed a purse from each car, according to police.

Police said the victims lost their cash, checkbooks along with jewelry and a cell phone due to the thefts. The involved vehicles were a brown Nissan Pathfinder and a white Mitsubishi Outlander.
Anyone who saw suspicious activity at the park between 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Monday is asked to contact the South Windsor Police Department at 860-644-2551.

Police remind residents to hide valuable items such as purses, laptop bags, GPS units and phones in the vehicle trunk, or under a privacy screen in SUV’s, to deter thieves.
