Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- A group of student volunteers at Eastern Connecticut State University led 27 middle schoolers from Windham through the month-long Puentes al Futuro (Bridges to the Future) program this July. A program of the Center for Community Engagement (CCE), this summer's camp focused on Lambe Lambe, a South American form of miniature puppet theatre. Among the CCE volunteers was Emily Minnich of South Windsor, who majors in Elementary Education and History/Social Science.
Elmira College, Elmira NY

- Ronnie Callahan, of South Windsor, was one of 16 Elmira College student-athletes named to the 2018-19 UCHC All-Academic Team on July 30. Callahan was among seven players who earned the honor for the first time from the UCHC.
University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI
- At the University of Rhode Island's 133rd Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, 2019, about 3,400 undergraduate and 740 graduate students became the University's newest alumni. Graduates from South Windsor were Maddy Taylor Corcoran, Bachelor of Science Sociology Summa Cum Laude; Kelly Lavoie, Bachelor of Science Kinesiology Cum Laude; Parker Magistri, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; Justine Elise Mirek, Bachelor of Arts Public Relations Cum Laude; and Angi Recato, Bachelor of Arts Communication Studies. Students who received the honor summa cum laude graduated with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.7; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.50; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.3.
