Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- Two early childhood education students presented research at the annual National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) conference in Nashville, TN, from Nov. 20-23. The students were accompanied by Julia DeLapp, director of Eastern's Center for Early Childhood Education (CECE), and Professor Emeritus Jeffrey Trawick-Smith. Among the students was Allison Lundy of South Windsor, who majors in Early Childhood Education and Psychology. Lundy, alongside Trawick-Smith, presented her honors thesis research, which shows the correlation between outdoor play and children's task behavior during group time.

- Lasell University held its Fall Connected Learning Symposium on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Griffin Bryan, a South Windsor resident, presented "Indigenous vs. Puritan Childhoods - A Visual Exploration." Under the guidance of Professor Jill Shoemaker, Bryan, a Fashion Media and Marketing major, shared a presentation with peers and faculty.
