Couple Scuffles With Cops Over Fake Gun, Pot in South Windsor
The roadside donnybrook in South Windsor began with a dim light, police said.
SOUTH WINDSOR ― A scuffle over a fake gun and pot boiled over to the arrest of couple over the weekend in South Windsor, police said.
At about 9 p.m. on Saturday, a South Windsor officer officer stopped a vehicle on Sullivan Avenue at Graham Road for a violation, police said.
During the roadside interview, the officer learned the operator, identified as Davin Ware, age 20, of 129 Barker Street, Hartford was in possession of a BB gun that looked like a real firearm, police said.

Officers also found marijuana and packaging materials consistent with the sale of the drug in the car, police said.
Ware tried to break the fingers of an officer after being asked to exit the vehicle, police said.

The passenger, JuliannPatenaude, 18, of 30 Graham Road in the Broad Brook section of East Windsor, jumped into a fray, police said.
Two arresting officers sustained abrasions and lacerations to hands as a result of the altercation, police said.
Ware was charged with assault on an officer, interfering with an officer, a weapon in a motor vehicle, operating under suspension and having defective headlamps.
Patenaude, was charged with assaulting a police officer and possession of marijuana.
Both Ware and Patenaude are scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Nov. 30.
