DNA Ties Man To South Windsor Swim And Tennis Club Burglary
Police said DNA evidence tied a South Windsor man to a 2024 break-in at the South Windsor Swim and Tennis Club.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A South Windsor man has been charged in connection with a 2024 break-in at the South Windsor Swim and Tennis Club, where police said money was stolen and property was damaged.
Allen M. Collins, 43, was arrested Friday, March 13, on an active warrant tied to the July 2024 incident at the club at 2965 Ellington Road, according to South Windsor police.
Police said Collins broke into the clubhouse, damaged property and took money from cash boxes. Investigators later linked him to the burglary through DNA evidence collected at the scene.

Collins was first taken into custody by Vernon police, then turned over to South Windsor officers. He was processed and held on a $30,000 surety bond.
He was scheduled to appear Friday morning in Manchester Superior Court.
