Earth Day: Kids In South Windsor Can Get Their Own Tree

The program connects kids with nature by giving them their own tree to plant and care for.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Families can sign up to receive a free tree for their child this spring through a program offered through the South Windsor Public Library.

The giveaway is part of a national initiative run by Neighborhood Forest, a nonprofit organization that provides children with their own tree to plant each year around Earth Day.

Trees are expected to arrive ahead of Earth Day on April 22. Families will be contacted with pickup details once the trees are delivered to the library.
