SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Democrat Elizabeth Pendleton, 60, is running for the South Windsor Town Council.

Occupation: Air Force Veteran, Assistant Town Clerk, Both In Vernon And South Windsor. Presently Retired

Son - Jeremiah 30 years old, South Windsor Firefighter
Daughter - Lanora 38 years old, eternally due to passing in 2021

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Fiscal accountability. Creating a budget that is fiscally responsible while maintaining the needs of our government and meet the of our citizens without cutting services. Also addressing the needs of our growing school population.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

I have been involved in South Windsor's town government for 16 years, 12 of those as a Town Councilor. I have been focused on the Capital Improvement Committee, and Personnel Committee and most importantly the Budge working group where I meticulously went line by line looking for savings in the budgets.

Accomplishments:

While on the Town Council I created the ordinance to fund Capital Improvements on a yearly basis, There is presently 40 million dollars worth of improvements that are needed and funding these on a yearly basis will help with completing the projects such as infrastructure. I also, and created the ordinance for a Tax Stabilization fund which will help fund the budget when needed.

Other issues:

I will work toward making South Windsor a town inclusive for all, despite race, religion, gender, and sexual orientation or age. I will continue to support budgets with the least financial impact to our tax payers.

I am a lifelong residents who LOVES South Windsor and will always strive to do what is in the best interest for it's residents and businesses of today and for the future.
