Fire Damages 2 Condominium Units In South Windsor
Mutual aid from several neighboring towns was received to help battle the fire early Wednesday morning.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A 2-alarm fire early Wednesday morning caused damage to a pair of condominiums at a complex off Pleasant Valley Road.
Just after 1 a.m., multiple 911 calls were received regarding a visible fire in Building 24 of the Westage condos on Amato Drive. Upon arrival, police and firefighters determined all occupants had escaped unharmed from the building, fire officials said.
Fire was visible from two second-floor units up to the roof overhang, and flames extended inside the units through the roof. Water was put on the fire within minutes of arrival, limiting damage to the units, fire officials said.

Two first-floor units received smoke and water damage. Just two of the four units in that portion of the building were occupied, with both occupants escaping without injury, according to fire officials.
South Windsor personnel received mutual aid from first responders from Manchester, Broad Brook, Ellington, Vernon, Windsor and Warehouse Point.

The origin and cause of the fire is still under investigation by the South Windsor Fire Marshal’s Office.
