Fire Destroys South Windsor Condos
The Saturday afternoon blaze on Pleasant Valley Road involved at least eight units.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A raging fire at a South Windsor condominimum complex Saturday afternoon rendered nine families homeless, including 15 adults and eight children, and resulted in injuries to four firefighters.
The blaze was reported in Building 11 at the Pleasant Valley Condos at 949 Pleasant Valley Road at 2:58 p.m., according to the South Windsor Fire Department.
At least eight units were involved, with some totally destroyed. One occupant was transported to a local hospital for evaluation, fire officials said.

The fire was brought under control in about an hour, according to fire officials.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and transported to area hospitals for evaluation, while two others were treated on scene, fire officials said.

The American Red Cross reported they are assisting those persons displaced by the fire.
