House Cleaner Accused of Stealing Jewelry From South Windsor Home
Wanda Burgos, 38, of Manchester, allegedly stole, and pawned, $1,900 worth of jewelry.

A Manchester woman that was hired that was hired to a clean a South Windsor home is accused of stealing $1,900 worth of jewelry from the home.
South Windsor police arrested Wanda Burgos, 38, of 67 Cooper St. in Manchester, on an arrest warrant on Sept. 24. Burgos was charged with third-degree larceny and was held on a $40,000 surety bond.
Police said that the arrest stems from an incident in August in which a South Windsor resident notified police that $1,900 in jewelry was missing from her home. The woman suspected an acquaintance that cleaned her home had taken the items.

Investigators learned that the suspect had pawned jewelry in Chicopee, Massachusetts and East Hartford, according to police.
South Windsor detectives recovered some of the stolen jewelry and later obtained an arrest warrant for Burgos.

Burgos appeared in Manchester Superior Court on Thursday.
