Imminent Snowfall Means School Cancellations Throughout Region Tuesday

HARTFORD-TOLLAND COUNTIES, CT — With local meteorologists predicting snowfall ranging from four to nine inches in northern and central Connecticut, school officials in all 30 towns served by Patch sites in Hartford and Tolland counties have decided to cancel classes for Tuesday.

The storm is expected to begin after 5 a.m. and continue into Tuesday afternoon, accompanied by winds gusting as high as 35 mph. The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning, beginning at 1 a.m. Tuesday and continuing through 1 a.m. Wednesday.

There will be no sports or extra-curricular activities Tuesday.
