SOUTH WINDSOR-ELLINGTON-EAST WINDSOR-EAST HARTFORD, CT — Our state legislature needs new blood. Consider Matt Harper, Republican nominee for State Senate. We’re in a recession with runaway inflation. Current legislators voted for a twenty percent tax hike on diesel fuel.
At a campaign stop Matt pledged to fight against tax increases. He also announced his endorsement by the Fraternal Order of Police. Matt further offered common sense solutions to curb juvenile crime.
In addressing the followup issue of opioids, Matt acknowledged the way fentanyl and heroin especially have caused families much pain. He committed to championing commonsense, bipartisan solutions that will save lives. Enough of the current politicians that have allowed the crime and drug crises to continue.

“I understand reading, writing, and math are fundamental to the long-term success of children,” he said. He added that accessible, affordable healthcare is an essential priority as well.
