SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - A New Britain man was arrested Sunday for a May 2018 crime in which he led officers on a chase on Route 5 near the East Hartford line, according to police. Devaughn Woods-Walters, 23, was arrested on a warrant and charged with reckless driving, engaging in pursuit, operating under suspension, operating without a license, misuse of plates, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Woods-Walters was held on $5,000 surety bond and will be presented at Manchester Superior Court Monday morning.
His charge stems from a May 2018 motor vehicle violation. An officer attempted to stop an Acura at about 1:00 a.m. on Route 5 near the East Hartford town line. The driver accelerated and fled into East Hartford, police said.
