Man Caught Stealing Stop Sign After Social Media Post: Police
A South Windsor man was arrested after he posted about stealing a stop sign.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - Police have arrested a local man after he posted about a stealing a stop sign on social media.
Roy Nunez, 20, of South Windsor, was arrested and charged with sixth-degree larceny. Nunez allegedly stole a stop sign from the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and Northview Drive. To sign up for South Windsor breaking news alerts and more, click here.
Police had been notified of the missing stop sign Saturday and the town highway department was contacted to replace the sign. Police subsequently found the social media posts and went to Nunez's apartment building.

Nunez turned over the sign and was arrested on a misdemeanor summons, according to police. He was released on a promise to appear in Manchester Superior Court Jan. 10.
