Man Charged with DUI After Motorist Alerts Police to Erratic Driver
South Windsor police arrested the man on Monday night.

An Enfield man faces drunk driving charges after being arrested in South Windsor on Monday night.
Police said a motorist on a cell phone notified dispatchers of a white pickup truck being operated in an unsafe manner on Ellington Road around 8 p.m.
Officers located the vehicle and stopped it in the 1000 block of Ellington Road.

Officers suspected the operator was under the influence of alcohol. Following a series of roadside sobriety tests, officers arrested the man, Michael Lampron, 48, of 7 Harvest Rd. in Enfield.
Lampron was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, failure to wear seatbelt and failure to drive in proper lane. Lampron was later released on a $1,000 non-surety bond. He is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Aug. 3.
