Man Due In Court In Case Of South Windsor Power Washer Theft

A man arrested in connection with a power washer theft in South Windsor is due in court, police said.

SOUTH WINDSOR. CT — An East Hartford man is due in court Wednesday to answer a larceny charge in a case of a stolen power washer in South Windsor, police said.

The Aug. 8 incident was at a local power equipment business on Sullivan Avenue, police said.

Store staffers told police that a man in a Volvo had stolen a power washer and fled the premises, according to a report.

An East Hartford officer stopped the suspect, later identified as 38-year-old Ewan Sharp, of East Hartford, and South Windsor officers were able to recover the stolen washer, a report indicates.

He was later released on $10,000 non-surety bond.
