Man Reaches Plea Deal In South Windsor Shooting Case

A Hartford man will serve prison time for a drug-related shooting last February.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - A Hartford man accepted a plea bargain Friday and was convicted of first-degree assault for shooting and injuring a South Windsor man last February, the Journal-Inquirer reported. Chad Ransom, 25, will serve a three-year prison sentence followed by three years of probation.

A dispute over the sale of one pound of marijuana led to the shooting at a home at 61 Gorski Drive. The man who was shot, Tyler Derohanian of South Windsor, suffered a shattered femur.
