Manchester High Wrestling Coach Accused of Pushing 15-Year-Old at Youth Football Game in South Windsor

Louis LaGuardia, 39, issued a summons for breach of peace for Sunday morning incident that occurred on sidelines of youth football game.

Manchester High School Wrestling coach Louis LaGuardia was issued a misdemeanor summons for allegedly pushing a 15-year-old boy on the sidelines of a youth football game Sunday morning in South Windsor.

South Windsor police responded to Rye Street Park, at 476 Rye Street, at about 11 a.m. on Sunday on a breach of peace complaint.

LaGuardia, 39, of Woodside Drive in South Windsor, was arguing with another man on the sidelines while watching a youth football game and then allegedly pushed the man’s 15-year-old son. The boy nearly fell over but was unhurt.

Police said that both men acknowledged yelling at each other but offered differing accounts of the incident. Based on their verbal statements the officer issued LaGuardia a summons for breach of peace.

LaGuardia is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Oct. 9.
