Manchester Woman Accused of DUI, Hitting Guard Rail in South Windsor
A witness observed the vehicle driving erratically, followed it and called police.

A Manchester woman is due in court next week to face charges related to a drunk driving incident Friday afternoon in South Windsor.
South Windsor Police were dispatched to a vehicle that was being operated erratically on Sullivan Avenue at about 2:45 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30.
Police said that a witness kept the vehicle in sight and informed officers that it had hit a guard rail and was running with a flat tire. The vehicle reportedly turned onto Oakland Road and ran into the wrong lane. Officers caught up to the vehicle and stopped it.

Following a series of field sobriety tests, the operator of the vehicle, Lisa Wodal, 48, was arrested.
Wodal, of 18 Golway Street in Manchester, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/alcohol, evading responsibility, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, no insurance, operating a motor vehicle without a license, and failure to drive in proper lane.

Wodal was later released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Feb. 9.
