
South Windsor writer Sharon Dukett will speak about her award-winning book at the April 28 program of the South Windsor Historical Society and Friends of the Wood Memorial Library & Museum.
After leaving home at age 16, Duckett lived in a commune and later returned to South Windsor, where she married and had children. While writing, she worked as a cocktail waitress, computer programmer, project manager, clothing designer singer, and deputy director in state government.
Her book “No Rules: A Memoir” was a finalist in the autobiography/memoir category in the 2020 International Book Awards.
