Narcotics Traffickers Charged Following South Windsor Operation: PD

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A pair of task forces combined with local police to arrest two known narcotics traffickers accused of distributing crack cocaine and fentanyl in South Windsor.

The East Central Narcotics Task Force (ECNTF), in cooperation with South Windsor police and the DEA Task Force, conducted a narcotics operation Thursday which resulted in the seizure of fentanyl, powder cocaine, crack cocaine, ecstasy, Oxycodone pills, Xanax and marijuana eatables.

Vincent Bovino, 22, was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, conspiracy to possess narcotics with intent to sell, criminal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of a large capacity magazine, criminal use of a firearm and interfering with an officer. It was also determined he had two outstanding warrants for violation of probation, stemming from previous arrests for narcotics distribution and violation of protective orders. He is being held on bonds totaling $1 million.

Elijah Jorden, 23, was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, conspiracy to possess narcotics with intent to sell, criminal possession of a firearm and four counts of possession of a controlled substance. ECNTF also held two active arrest warrants for him for possession and sale of cocaine. His bonds total $400,000.

Janaiya Sanchez, 20, was also arrested in connection with the case, and charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance. She is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 1.
