Paterna To Replace Anwar As South Windsor Mayor
Mayor Saud Anwar will step down after winning the special election for the state's 3rd Senate District.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - Democratic Mayor Saud Anwar will leave his position to focus on his new role as state senator and will eventually be replaced by Deputy Mayor Andrew Paterna, the Journal-Inquirer reported. Anwar won the 3rd Senate District in a recent special election.
Anwar told the Journal-Inquirer that he intends to step down after the town has found a new town manager. The Town Council is in the process of picking finalists for the position.
