Pedestrian Struck, Injured In South Windsor: Police
The driver left the scene, and police are asking for any witnesses to the accident to come forward.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Tuesday morning near a local highway off-ramp, and the driver left the scene, according to police.
Police said the accident happened at 5:44 a.m. at the Route 5 and I-291 eastbound off-ramp.
They received reports that a tractor cab with no trailer, possibly with a red sleeper cab, hit the pedestrian and knocked her to the ground.

The victim was rushed to Hartford Hospital, according to police, who said her injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
Police are hoping witnesses will come forward and help identify the driver of the tractor cab.
