South Windsor police said they tracked down a driver who wrecked a utility box and other roadside attractions after the plate fell off.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — South Windsor police were able to track down a wayward driver who went through a game of vehicular pinball on a local road over the weekend because the man left his registration plate behind.

The crash took place Saturday at 10 a.m. on Margaret Drive, police said. A vehicle had struck a mailbox, a speed limit sign, and cable utility box and the operators drove away from the scene, police said.

Officers then noticed the vehicle's plate was left at the scene, according to a report.
