- James Madison University was pleased to celebrate approximately 1,000 graduates during the December Commencement ceremonies. Sierra Hibbs of South Windsor received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.

- Eight students from South Windsor were named to the SCSU Dean's List for the fall 2019 semester. They are Morgan Lussier, Bryce Castellone, Ronnie Pinkard, Alexis Simons, Briana Cotton, Jaely Manso, Julianne Hancock and Michelle Jobes. In order for undergraduate students to qualify for the dean's list, students must complete 12.0 or more credits in fall or spring and earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or better.
Springfield College, Springfield MA
- Springfield College recognized the following students from South Windsor for making the Dean's List during the 2019 fall semester: Lauren Landino, Business Management; Taylor Sanzo, Communication/Sport Journalism; Emily Van Horn, English; Gabrielle Inkel, Health Science; Alison Baranauskas, Health Science/Occupational Therapy; Sarah Nickolas, Health Science/Occupational Therapy; Emilee Gebhart, Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; Jessica Van Horn, Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; Kasey Lucia, Psychology; and Hannah Silverman, Sociology. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.
