Refuse, Recycling, Bulky Waste Holiday Collection Schedule In SW

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Town offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas Day and Monday, Jan. 2, 2023 in observance of New Year’s Day.

Trash, recycling and bulky waste will be picked up on normally scheduled days following both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. If your refuse collection is on Monday, it will be picked up on Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.

Scrap metal pickup will remain on its regular schedule on Wednesday, Dec. 28. Contact All American Waste at 860-289-7850 to schedule a scrap metal pickup.

The next bulky waste collection will be during the week of Monday, Jan. 2, 2023 on trash collection day. Bulky waste collection for the following condominiums will be on Friday, Jan. 6: Brookside, Bryrewood, Burr Meadow, Chapel Hill, Cinnamon Springs, Mill River, Parkview South, Pleasant Hills, Pleasant Valley, Plum Ridge, Strawbridge and Westage.

It is not necessary to schedule a bulky waste collection. Have items curbside or by the dumpsters by 7 a.m. for collection during the day.
