Flashback Friday: Classic Photos From Hartford and Tolland Counties

STORRS, CT – Patch is featuring a weekly look back at classic photos from Hartford and Tolland counties.

This week, it's a glance at what once was the class registration process at the University of Connecticut. Each year, the line of students would snake its way from the Wilbur Cross building to who-knows-where on campus. The photo is from 1945.

The long wait would prompt the inevitable jostling for seats in the best classes.

Now, of course, it is all done online. UConn Deputy Spokesman Tom Breen said it is a matter of minutes in 2017 as opposed to a potentially all-day affair way back when.
