Snow Changes South Windsor School Plans for Thursday
A heavy, fast-moving snowstorm is expected to bring 8 inches to a foot of the white stuff, starting early Thursday morning.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — In anticipation of an expected winter storm Thursday, all South Windsor Public Schools will be closed Thursday, Feb. 9.
Sporting events and after-school activities that had been scheduled for Thursday have been postponed.
A Winter Storm Warning from the National Weather Service is in effect from 4 a.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday. A total of 8 to 12 inches of snow is expected, with the heaviest snow beginning early Thursday and lasting until the evening hours. Blowing and drifting snow is possible, the weather service states.
