South Windsor Barely Misses Top 10 in Field Hockey Poll

The high-powered Bobcats have an impressive scoring differential of 65-3 thus far this season.

Not since the three-peat state championship seasons of 1992, 1993 and 1994 has the Enfield High School field hockey program been at the top of the mountain...until now.

As the lone remaining undefeated, untied team in Connecticut, the Eagles garnered four of eight first-place votes to claim the peak position in the latest weekly state coaches poll. Greenwich and Darien each received a pair of first-place votes.

Enfield (11-0), which moved up from the No. 2 ranking last week, has overwhelmed opponents by an incredible 52-1 scoring margin this season.
