South Windsor Brush Fire Scorches 4 Acres
Firefighters extinguished the blaze Tuesday evening.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - Emergency crews battled a five that covered approximately four acres Tuesday evening. It took two hours for South Windsor Firefighters, accompanied by Brush/Forestry Units from Manchester 8th District FD and Broad Brook Fire Departments, to extinguish the blaze.
The brush fire was reported shortly before 5 p.m. on Clark Street near the post office, fire officials said.
Companies were able to contain the fire to the general area and stopped the possibility of extension to nearby structures and homes on Clark Street.

No injuries were reported.
The cause of the brush fire is under investigation by the South Windsor Fire Marshal’s Office.
