South Windsor Business Announces Temporary Layoffs

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A South Windsor-based company has announced 42 temporary layoffs.

The announcement by Emcor/New England Mechanical wsas made in a filing with the Connecticut Department of Labor last week. Emcor is located at 55 Gerber Road East in South Windsor.

The layoffs took place on April 6 and are inended to be temporary over a six-month period, according to the filing. They are related to slower business because of the coronavirus pandemic, according to the filing.
