South Windsor Cancels Middle School Trip to Washington, D.C.
School officials made the decision in light of a terrorist threat made against Washington, D.C. and the Paris attacks.

South Windsor school officials canceled a planned field trip to Washington D.C. on Tuesday for eighth grade students at Timothy Edwards Middle School after a new ISIS video made threats against the U.S. and specifically Washington, D.C.
In a letter sent to parents, Timothy Edwards Middle School Principal Nancy Larson wrote that “in light of the threat falling on the heels of Friday’s attacks in Paris, we must take every precaution possible” and canceled the trip, according to Fox61.
Larson said “as always the safety of your child is our number one concern” and the possibility of rescheduling the trip is being researched.
