The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
The town needs to control spending.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I am a great listener.
List other issues that define your campaign platform
Need to encourage the residents to get out and vote. The town needs to see the completion of the Schools Project, namely first getting the next referendum passed for the completion of the last elementary school, Pleasant Valley School. The importance of this is crucial, especially to provide equity among ALL the school age students in SW. As a councilor, I will do what I can to promote and support this effort.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
While I have been on the council, I have supported the "new" way to create the town's budget, meaning I have supported the town manager and the superintendent's (our two CEOs, who are educated in the field of creating a budget) way of creating a budget which meets the needs of the entire town without regards to which party is in control.
The best advice ever shared with me was ...
To stay true to myself. Listen to residents and vote my conscious.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am here to serve all the residents in the town of South Windsor.
