Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
I am deeply committed to education and wish to further champion opportunities for our schools.
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Increasing enrollment. As our administration grapples with budgetary challenges due to rising enrollment, I want to focus on adding opportunities for our students without placing additional financial strain on our schools.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Firstly, I have great respect for all the candidates seeking this position, and I believe each one brings valuable perspectives to the table. However, what differentiates me is my experience with academic competitions and opportunities for students at all K-12 levels. I've acquired this experience while raising two children, which has given me an intimate understanding of the diverse needs and aspirations of students aiming for selective post-secondary programs.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Addressing falling SAT scores
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
All we get is time and choices. Be wise with both of them.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
Board of Education members selflessly volunteer their time, emphasizing the importance of community and education. While they don't have access to individual student data, their primary focus lies in providing holistic direction and governance for the schools. As a BOE candidate, I am wholeheartedly committed to enhancing our educational system and ensuring a bright future for all students.
