South Windsor Church Burglary Suspect Charged With 2 More Sins
He is now charged with breaking into a church three times last month, according to police.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A man charged last month with burglarizing a South Windsor church faces additional charges after admitting to police he had broken into the church on two prior occasions, Deputy Chief Scott Custer said.
Christopher Purdie, 30, of Tariffville, was charged Tuesday at Manchester Superior Court with two counts each of third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny. Bond was set at $100,000 surety bond.
Purdie’s charges stem from two burglary investigations at the Truth Baptist Church on Burnham Street. Investigators determined he had broken into the church several times in March 2017 to stay warm and take food and money, Custer said.
