South Windsor College Swimmer Earns National Honor

She posted outstanding accomplishments both in the pool and the classroom to earn the distinction.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Jennifer Belanger of South Windsor, who recently concluded her senior season as a member of the Southern Connecticut State University women's swimming and diving team, has been named to the Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

Belanger is one of more than 1,900 student-athletes across all three NCAA divisions, along with the NAIA and NJCAA, to be recognized.

She received Honorable Mention laurels after posting a cumulative GPA in excess of 3.50 and achieving a "B" time standard. Belanger compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.75 and registered a "B" cut in the 500 freestyle this winter. She was also named to the NE10 Women's Swimming and Diving All-Academic Team and was a NE10 champion in the 400 freestyle relay.
