The South Windsor Greater Together Community Fund Advisory Committee is seeking four new committee members. The South Windsor Greater Together Community Fund was created in 2020 by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving to identify and fund South Windsor projects benefiting the full diversity of South Windsor’s population. In 2021, the committee awarded a total of $27,000 in grants to six South Windsor community organizations representing a broad range of interests, and has scheduled two additional rounds of project funding in Fall of 2021 and Winter 2022.

Committee members are expected to attend bi-weekly/monthly meetings during which the committee develops new requests for funding proposals, reviews project applications requesting funding, finalizes grant recipients, and attends to any administrative issues. The committee seeks members who are residents of South Windsor, represent the diverse demographics of the South Windsor community, and are committed to the success of South Windsor through dynamic, community-oriented programs. One and two year committee terms are available, and new members should expect to begin their assignments beginning in September 2021.
