South Windsor Firefighters Respond to Retirement Home
Crews extinguished a fire at the facility. No injuries were reported.

South Windsor firefighters responded to an incident at The Residence at South Windsor Farms, a retirement and assistant living facility on Tuesday night.
Crews were initially dispatched to the scene, at 200 Deming Street, on a report of an odor of burning.
The department posted on its Facebook page that initial crews from E4 determined a fire in an appliance with a smoke condition in an unoccupied / vacant room on 2nd floor.

The fire was extinguished and apparatus remained on scene to remove the smoke condition.
During the incident crews from SWFD (Tower and 2 Engines with 20 FFs) were at the CT Fire Academy. Mutual Aid was immediately called - Manchester Town Fire with a Truck Comp and Manchester 8th engine responded to the scene. Station coverage provided by Manchester 8th and Broad Brook FDs.

The South Windsor Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
No injuries were reported.
