Meet South Windsor’s Police And Fire Crews

Families are invited to meet local police and firefighters during a relaxed evening at the library.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Residents will have a chance to meet local first responders next week during a community meet-and-greet at the South Windsor Public Library.

The library will host the South Windsor Police Department and the South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, for an informal event aimed at families and community members of all ages.

The meet-and-greet will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Friends’ Room at the library, located at 1550 Sullivan Ave. Attendees may stop in at any point during the event to talk with police officers and firefighters, ask questions, and learn helpful safety information.

Library officials said the evening is designed to be relaxed and family-friendly. Light refreshments will be provided.

The event is free and open to the public.
