South Windsor Gets Voter Support in Boys Basketball Poll

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — For the first time this season, there is a change at the top of the boys basketball rankings in Connecticut.

Notre Dame-West Haven received 17 of 19 first-place votes to topple Hillhouse out of the top spot in the most recent media balloting.

South Windsor (12-4) did not crack the top 10, but received a considerable amount of support from voters..

Here are the top 10, with records through Feb. 12:

2. Sacred Heart (16-0)
3. Hillhouse (16-1)
4. East Catholic (14-1)
5. Weaver (15-2)
6. East Hartford (15-1)
7. Middletown (15-2)
8. Notre Dame-Fairfield (15-1)
9. Trumbull (15-1)
10. Fairfield Warde (13-3)

Also receiving votes: Bassick (13-1), Ledyard (14-2), Norwich Free Academy (15-2), Wilton (12-3), Holy Cross (12-4), Kennedy (13-3), Simsbury (14-3), South Windsor (12-4), Westbrook (15-1), Windsor (11-5), Wilbur Cross (13-5), Lewis Mills (15-1), Crosby (12-5).
