Local history programs co-sponsored by the South Windsor Historical Society and Wood Memorial Library/Museum have been cancelled because of corona virus restrictions and may be rescheduled later.

Scott Brady was to present a Sept. 10 program on state and local archeology finds and their importance. Sept 12 had been set for an outdoor family program presented in Nowashe Village by Drew Shupter-Rayvis on native peoples lifeways, but recent storm damage could not be cleared in time.

The society had earlier called off summer visits at its Pleasant Valley Schoolhouse Museum and its annual South Windsor Heritage Day event in the local historic district. For more information about the organization, visit www.southwindsorhistory.org or Faceback.
