South Windsor High School Fall Sports: Past Titles, 2018 Schedule

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Practice is now officially underway for all eight CIAC-sanctioned fall sports in Connecticut, with boys and girls cross country, field hockey, football, boys and girls soccer, girls swimming and girls volleyball teams setting out on their quests for league and state championships.

Among schools in Patch communities in Hartford and Tolland counties, Glastonbury is the all-time leader with 38 fall team championships, followed by Farmington (35), Granby Memorial (33), and E.O. Smith and Manchester (29 each).

Area schools looking to repeat their 2017 state titles are Glastonbury girls cross country (State Open and LL) and boys soccer (LL), Tolland boys cross country (M), Avon girls cross country (MM) and Granby Memorial girls soccer (M).

South Windsor's seven fall state titles date back to 1949, when the school was known as Ellsworth High School. Here are the state championships won by Bobcat teams in autumns past, as well as a link to this fall's schedule of varsity contests.
