South Windsor High Spring Sports: Past Titles, 2018 Schedule
A look at the state championship history in spring sports at South Windsor High School, as well as the 2018 spring schedule for the Bobcats.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Despite more snow in the Wednesday forecast, today is the first day of spring, and with the winter sports season now behind us, it is time to look ahead to a multitude of spring sports, and rekindle the optimism that a championship season is on the horizon. Practice is now underway for all seven CIAC-sanctioned spring sports in Connecticut, with track and field being the last to start on Monday.
South Windsor High School and its predecessor, Ellsworth High School, has experienced some success during the spring campaign, with 17 state titles dating back to 1939. Here are the state championships won by Bobcat teams in the past, as well as a link to this spring's schedule of contests.
- boys outdoor track (13) - M: 1972; S: 1951, 1950, 1949, 1948, 1947, 1945, 1944, 1943, 1942, 1941, 1940, 1939
- boys volleyball (1) - M: 2016
- boys lacrosse (1) - D-II: 1999
- baseball (1) - L: 1993
- softball (1) - L: 1978
