South Windsor to Hold Final Christmas Tree Collection
The town also announces the refuse and recycling collection schedule for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

If you haven’t gotten your Christmas tree out to the curb yet, don’t worry, there’s still time.

The town’s last Christmas tree collection will begin the week of Monday, Jan. 18.
The collection will be on your refuse collection day of this week.

Trees must be placed at the curb for collection by 7 a.m. There will be one pass per street. The collection for all other Condominiums, including Plum Ridge Condominiums, will be only on Friday, Jan. 22.
Trees placed in plastic bags will not be picked up.
For those who miss the special pickups, Christmas trees can be collected with refuse if branches are trimmed back 8 inches from the stem, and tree lengths do not exceed 4 feet.
Please place branches inside plastic bags, and place bags and stem in the refuse container.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day - Refuse & Recycling Collection Schedule
Town Offices will be closed on Monday, January 18, 2016 in observance of Martin Luther King’s Day. REFUSE and RECYCLING COLLECTION WILL BE ON THE REGULAR SCHEDULE THIS WEEK. This includes the scrap metal pickup for Wednesday, January 20, 1026. We must be notified no later than noon on Tuesday for a Wednesday metal pickup.
